Mr. Lillo Kuape
Lillo Kuape is the Rector of Maluti Adventist College. He holds an MPhil and Postgraduate Diplomas in HIV/AIDS Management and Nursing Education from Stellenbosch University, along with diplomas in nursing and midwifery from Maluti School of Nursing. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Nursing at Loma Linda University.
Kuape has held key roles in healthcare and education, including positions as a Midwifery and Nurse Educator, and he actively contributes to academic governance. One of his major achievements was coordinating a landmark project aimed at scaling up midwifery education in Africa. Launched in collaboration with the World Health Organization, the Seventh-day Adventist Church Health Ministry, and Loma Linda University, this initiative led to the establishment of Centers of Excellence, including one at Maluti Adventist College. He also played a key role in developing the Maluti Adventist College Health Promoters (MACHP) project, which provides free health education to communities, focusing on health, HIV/AIDS, mental health, and Bible studies as part of the institution’s initiative to give back to the community.
